"Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountains is going home; that wildness is a necessity; and that mountain parks and reservations are useful not only as fountains of timber and irrigating rivers, but as fountains of life." - John Muir

The American Project is dedicated to outdoor recreation enthusiasts, conservationists, people who love our United States National Parks, United States National Forests, United States National Wilderness, lands managed by the United States Bureau of Land Management, and all the national treasures in between. The American Project is especially dedicated to the generations of youth and will inherit the responsibility to protect these spaces for centuries to come.
Tech Guru's, Geeks, Nerds, Urbanites, Early Adopters, Conservationists, Photographers, Videographers, Aspiring Artists, Nature Lovers, Automobile Enthusiasts, 4x4 Junkies, and Intrepid Explorers alike will all have something to discover in this nearly-live mini-series we want to produce. We don't want this to simply be a video, we want you to share in the experience.
We'll be traveling across the country, sharing the adventure in near real-time via this website, and social media. We'll also be playing around with some of the coolest new consumer photography and videography gear that's readily accessible and even affordable for everyone. Our goal is for you to watch the content we broadcast from the field, learn how to use the technology we employ with our field team, and panel of industry tested experts. We want you to ask yourself why you're not spending your next weekend chasing your own adventure.
The Youth of America who are often times most absent from our Great Outdoors are the exploding group of brilliant, tech savvy, computer savvy minds who love their phones, computers, and all the gadgets that have helped define the ever smaller, more connected world we live in. The American Project aims at bringing this group back into our parks, establishing the connection between nature and technology, and giving potentially millions of people the opportunity to live vicariously through our collective experiences, while motivating them to go exploring themselves.
